A qucik and dirty implementation and deployment of a solar camera.

A can of a popular brew of lager has its end removed. A pinhole added to the side, and a cap made from an aluminium foil pie case. A sheet of 5 x 7 photo paper fits nicely into the can. Then it’s all sealed up with Gorilla tape.

Leave out for a few months, until the Winter Solstice, and we’ll see what we get.

A couple of test improvements:

• Pinhole positioned above centre of can to try to get the Sun at its highest.
• Camera deployed at a 30 degree angle - again to try to get the Sun at its hightest.
